Invasive Species

My problem with 'invasive species' is who is to say they are not in the natural order of evolution? How many volcanic islands would be barren if not for the birds who invaded and dropped their seeds from distant lands? How many American tables would be bereft of potatoes if our ancestors had not brought them here from Europe. Just like beauty, invasive species are in the eye of the beholder. Europeans in the Americas were an invasive species. The most trouble we humans cause is when we try to direct or redirect the path of nature.
