I recently began learning Spanish and what is most surprising is that the Spanish language has a very different approach to communication than does the English language.

I don't know why or when it happened, but I don't remember a time when I wasn't afraid of heights. Even so, I do remember diving from the "high" board at our municipal swimming pool and I did enjoy riding the Ferris wheel and roller coaster when the carnival came to town. As I grew older, though, the fear became stronger, until finally I had no choice but to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground.

Depression can put your life out of sync with the world. One of the most insidious things about depression is that it can make you feel like you don't deserve to be here. Depression can make you believe that the world would be a better place and that your family and friends would, indeed, be happier if you weren't in it. Fighting those feelings on your own can be near impossible.
