The snow had just started falling and it was the first time I had ever driven in snow. The party was at a house rented by several young men. One of them owned a female dog that was half Golden Lab and half German Shepherd. Another had a male dog that was half Doberman and half Greyhound. The two dogs got together and ended up with a family of 7 puppies. The boys managed to find a home for 6 of them, but there was one left over.
My kids were three years apart. On the day my youngest started pre-school, it was the first time in six years that I had a few hours completely to myself.
The year Cabbage Patch Kids came out, it was the only thing my daughter wanted for Christmas. Her Christmas wish was my only experience in Black Friday shopping. We fought the crowds and looked everywhere for one and everywhere was sold out.
The older I get, the more I dread the onslaught of winter cold temps. Lucky for me I have found five sure-fire tricks to keep warm weather around a little longer.
