Pro choice is just a shorter phrase for "Mind Your Own Business." It is neither pro-life nor pro-abortion. It as much about birth control as it is about deciding whether or not to end a pregnancy or continue one. Here's why:
A miscarriage left me with the understanding that abortion would never be a good choice for me. Even so, I believe the decision to end a pregnancy or carry it to term—yes or no—belongs solely to the woman it concerns and to nobody else.
It seems that Hillary Clinton just can't get a break and anyone who tries to give her one is cannon fodder. The latest media flap is over some answers Ruth Bader Ginsberg gave to some interview questions. Justice Ginsberg came out in public support of Clinton. Apparently the beltway believes that Ginsberg is not entitled to voice her opinions.
While it is important to remember the horror of the concentration camps and the atrocities Hitler perpetrated upon the world, war is horrible from every vantage point. I know it's hard to feel sympathy for the Nazis, but this story has helped me remember that not all Germans were Nazis. Many were just victims of their times in the same way that many refugees are today.
Although ending a pregnancy would never be my choice and I‘m past the age to have to worry about it, I do believe that every woman has the right to choose. In fact, the right to choose is paramount for me. I don‘t want government telling me what I can and cannot do unless it endangers or causes harm to another.
I just read this: Mother Arrested For Leaving Her Kids In A Park While She Went To A Food Bank. It was a chilling read for reasons you may not expect!
These days it seems that when you get a group of legislators together, they get things backwards. Kind of reminds me of the Contrare Indian in Little Big Man who washed with sand and dried with water.
