While congress stalls on legalizing marijuana, big pharma continues to lead both consumers and the medical community down the garden path of designer diseases and their companion drugs. Like other crops that have suffered through corporate greed and mismanagement, putting the fate of Marijuana into the hands of big pharma will most likely hinder its progress more than help it. Because big pharma cannot claim development of marijuana, they have no promise of financial gain and therefore no reason to execute an unbiased and comprehensive study.

Some days I think I am watching Spielberg's THX1138. Advertisements pelt us continually with news about one drug or another. Each new drug seems to be a miracle cure for whatever might ail us. Each ad suggests you "ask your doctor" about the drug. The inference is to ask your doctor to prescribe it.
Although ending a pregnancy would never be my choice and I‘m past the age to have to worry about it, I do believe that every woman has the right to choose. In fact, the right to choose is paramount for me. I don‘t want government telling me what I can and cannot do unless it endangers or causes harm to another.
These days it seems that when you get a group of legislators together, they get things backwards. Kind of reminds me of the Contrare Indian in Little Big Man who washed with sand and dried with water.
