In the half-light of morning
She struggles to lift the dark curtain
From her eyes
Daylight muffled by a pillow of clouds
Lulls her back to sleep
Shimmer with heat.
Waves of passion toss her
Into lusty current's embrace
The whirlpool of life pulls her down.
She spirals into the vortex.
Strong arms pull her to safety
Caressed and aroused
To the island
